TridentCare welcomed Dan Buning as its Chief Executive Officer in August 2022. Dan has had a distinguished career both in the military and private industry where he’s held several c-suite positions focused on business growth and people development. He brings a wealth of healthcare experience to TridentCare that will be extremely valuable as he leads a well-experienced leadership team to continue to grow the business. Dan was the President and Chief Operating officer of AccentCare where his primary responsibility was acquisition integration and best practices implementation. Prior to joining TridentCare, Dan served successfully as President and Chief Operating Officer of Centria Healthcare where he was responsible for business acquisitions, operational improvements and developing new business growth strategies.
Dan’s operational experience includes 20+ years as a US Army Officer, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. His post military experience includes 20 years in leading transactional process improvements with financial success in multiple industries (insurance, claims, banking, call centers) and eight years in Healthcare Provider Revenue Cycle Operations with GE, Citigroup and Accretive Health (now R1). Dan is a GE Six Sigma Certified Black Belt and Master Black Belt who earned Operations Engineering Degrees from both West Point and The Naval Post Graduate School.
As chief financial officer since 2019, Brian is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, tax, revenue cycle, corporate finance, and investor relations. He also oversees the company’s vehicle fleet and M&A activity.
Brian’s career spans more than 25 years of varied experience in Private Equity backed healthcare businesses, financial management, operational leadership, and corporate strategy. Prior to re-joining TridentCare in 2019, Brian served as CFO for JAG-One Physical Therapy and CFO for Cano Health. Earlier in his career, Brian held senior-level positions in public accounting firms along with serving as business line controller for ADP.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Towson University.
Kyle Seiter, a seasoned healthcare innovator and technology transformation specialist, joined TridentCare in March 2025. His focus is on developing and delivering IT strategy, reducing the time to launch industry leading client-facing technology and working with strategic leaders to improve business process automation and organizational efficiencies in support of growing both the primary customer segments (skilled nursing facilities) and commercial, governmental, and home-based programs.
With a career spanning over 25 years, originating as a banking IT leader and successfully transitioning to healthcare a decade later, Kyle developed a winning combination of technical expertise and strategic leadership abilities to ensure profitable business growth. He went on to lead (CIO) one the nation’s premier wound care providers for 8 years and most recently served as CIO and CTO for Medically Home where he successfully launched the industry’s first automated decentralized healthcare logistics solution, increased customer satisfaction with existing SaaS solutions and consistently delivered innovative high-impact solutions directly aligned to business results. With additional CIO roles in both IT managed services for healthcare providers and home-based services, Kyle has the experience and skills to continue to transform TridentCare in the years to come.
Angela has been part of our TridentCare team for over 11 years, many of which she has served in the capacity of Senior Vice President of Reimbursement. Angela’s tenure with TridentCare and over 30 years of industry experience has her well positioned for her current role of Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer.
Angela’s passion for health care compliance and business ethics has been demonstrated through her continuous work efforts and results within TridentCare but also through her national Certifications in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Compliance & Ethics (CCEP) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC).
Angela serves as a member of multiple Medicare Part B Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Boards, including; CGS, FCSO, Noridian, Novitas and WPS. She serves as an active Board member of the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care (NASL). Angela also is active on multiple Committees for the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA), Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation (WBL) and many other national and state healthcare membership organizations.
Mary has decades of experience with crucial aspects of human resources, including recruitment and retention, organizational effectiveness, talent management, employment law and compliance, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Prior to joining TridentCare in early 2024, Mary was with Arcadia University where she held the role of Vice President of Human Resources and the Employee Experience. During her time at Arcadia, Mary made it a priority to enhance the experience of the faculty and staff by rebuilding many of the HR functions.
Prior to joining Arcadia in 2020, Mary spent 22 years in the health care industry. She served most recently as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Regional CHRO for the Mid/South Atlantic regions at Trinity Health. There, Mary focused on aligning the HR strategy to Trinity’s business strategy, focusing on talent management and development, succession planning, organizational design, and executive coaching. She also was responsible for strategic and operational leadership of human resources in the Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic regions.
Melissa Carr, a seasoned healthcare innovator and transformation specialist assumed her role at TridentCare in March 2024. Her focus is to spearhead the expansion of TridentCare’s presence beyond its current core markets of Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities. Diversifying TridentCare’s revenue beyond its core markets is essential to creating enterprise value, and with multiple revenue sources we can increase our staffing, which allows us to serve more customers.
With a career spanning over two decades, Melisa last served at CareCentrix where she successfully held senior leadership roles in various areas including business development, product development, go-to-market strategy and marketing. Melissa has viewed healthcare’s constant evolution as a platform to optimize and expand access to affordable solutions for payors and patients. Under her watchful eye, Melissa and her team successfully transformed the way the company built, marketed, and positioned its products and services across various markets.
Angelika has worked with TridentCare for the past 14 years and in the industry for over 20 years. As CTO, Angelika currently responsible for managing the customer service, logistics and teleradiology support teams nationally for all lines of business including Imaging, clinical laboratory and vascular access. Angelika works closely with Operations, RCM and IT to facilitate organizational improvements from incremental workflow changes and system enhancements to complete service line system replacements. She has a strong understanding of IT and the key role systems play in the success of any organization.
In her time with TridentCare she has held roles of Director of Field Operations and Director of Internal Operations prior to her promotion to Vice President of Internal Operations and ultimately her current role of Senior Vice President of Internal Operations. Prior to working with TridentCare, Angelika worked with another portable diagnostics and mobile clinical laboratory provider in Southern California where she was the Director of Operations.
Angelika earned her Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Southern California.
Jeff oversees the relationships with our Corporate Customer Partners, as well as leading our Commercial, Correctional and Trident Care at Home Divisions. Jeff has been with TridentCare for over 19 years and has extensive experience in all aspects of our business. He represents our organization at the national industry conferences and is well respected by our customer partners.
Prior to joining TridentCare, Jeff held leadership positions with several privately and publicly held companies. Jeff has previously served on various boards within the healthcare industry.
Jeff attended Princeton University where he was the captain of the baseball team. After graduation, Jeff played minor league baseball in the San Diego Padres organization.
David Duncan serves as Executive Vice President at TridentCare, where he brings a strategic focus on operational excellence and financial performance to the organization. A seasoned leader with deep experience in healthcare services, David has been with TridentCare since April 2013, holding a variety of key roles within shared services and a tenure as Vice President of Operations for TridentCare’s Quality of Life Services group.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and an MBA from Clemson University. He excels at applying an operations management and analytics-driven approach to the revenue cycle function, with a focus on process and workflow optimization that ensures timely, efficient, and accurate delivery of cash to fund tomorrow’s business.
Prior to joining TridentCare, David worked as a Senior Consultant for a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, where he co-authored two books on designing and utilizing reporting solutions. This experience honed his skills in data analytics and technology-driven decision-making, which continue to inform his leadership style today.
Chris Tomlinson, MBA, CRA, FAHRA joined TridentCare and its executive team in 2023 as Senior Vice President, Laboratory Operations and oversees the entire TridentCare Laboratory Network. His focus is on enhancing workflows, unifying TridentCare’s national lab network and growing TridentCare’s primary customer segment (skilled nursing facilities) as well as its commercial, governmental and home-based lab programs.
Chris has an extensive background in Clinical Lab/Pathology & Radiology/Imaging Services with over 20+ years of professional success. Prior to joining TridentCare, Chris was the Enterprise Vice President at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia where he oversaw the Clinical Lab/Pathology and Radiology/Imaging Services lines for eighteen (18) hospitals and clinics and became the first enterprise leader for the health system. As the Enterprise Vice President, Chris’s mandate was to organize, group, and consolidate service lines, standardizing lab and imaging across the different hospitals and partnership models.
With many noteworthy accomplishments at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a successful run with Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting Division and the recent career milestones at Jefferson Health, Chris brings an enormous amount of insight and operational lab expertise that will complement and enhance TridentCare’s current infrastructure and national footprint.
Brendan joined TridentCare as General Counsel in 2019. In this role, he has overall responsibility for TridentCare’s legal affairs, including contracting, customer and partner relationships, risk management/litigation and corporate governance. Brendan also works closely with TridentCare’s Compliance, Human Resources, Sales and Operations teams.
Prior to joining TridentCare, Brendan represented the company in a variety of matters while working for a Philadelphia-based law firm, where he was a partner in the general business and commercial litigation practice groups.
Brendan earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.
